Flavour of the season, Katrina Kaif is now turning producer with a French film remake. À la folie... pas du tout (He loves me… he loves me not) is about Angélique’s (played by Audrey Tautou) love life with a married doctor.
She is a successful art student who has won a scholarship while the doctor’s wife is expecting their first child. The film captures the tumultuous relationship between Angélique and her lover, wherein Angélique tries to commit suicide, tries to kill her lover and ends up in a mental asylum. The epilogue of the film is set five years later, when she is released from the mental asylum.
Kat fell in love with the film after she saw it. In fact, she wanted to make the film the very moment she saw it. The actress is believed to be in talks to acquire the remake rights of the film. French actress Audrey Tautou has won a lot of accolades for this film.
Reports say she wants Vipul Amrutlal Shah to direct the remake as she that believes that Shah will be able to translate its strong emotions onto the big screen.
Though denied by Katrina, the news is confirmed by a source. It’s not clear that who is going to be Katrina’s male co-star in the film - Ranbir Kapoor? Akshay Kumar? or Salman Khan?
