As else where in the country, the clash of the titans are on for Deepavali in the state of Kerala too. The two biggies 'Saawariya' and 'Om Shanthi Om' fighting to outdo each other will be released in many centres all across the state.
As expected SRK's 'Om Shanthi Om' has a better release in 24 centres while Saawariya graces 20 centres in the state.
Set in 1970, 'Om Shanti Om' is about a junior artist and his unspoken love for a top actress (Deepika) who in turn loves a Bollywood mogul. While Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who had won many laurels for his earlier directorial feats, bases his film on Dostoevsky's white nights, he have got support from a new star pair Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor in the lead with Salman Khan and Rani in other prominent supporting roles.
'Om Shanti Om' and 'Saawariya' are definite to create storm in the screens in this season. No doubt, both the films which were filmed at costs around 40 crores and released under big banners like Hollywood production house, Sony Pictures and, Shah Rukh Khan owned Red Chilies Entertainment, will definitely offer the best of the visual spectacles, till date.
So let’s wait and watch for another weekend to see who will emerge the real winner.
